Bought a used Chevy and it died right after I bought it. It seems like the previous owner did not put much time in maintenance. I replaced the battery then replaced the starter and the car still won't start. when I turn the key on, it just click and that is it! the engine won't crank.
The Onstar box is causing the 10A fuse to burn and can't use the OBD; however, I disconnect the Onstar and the OBD port is working but for some reason still can't connect to the car to retrieve any data.
I am not very experienced but I can try do what it takes to get the car running.
So, Should I replace the Onstar box? is this can cause the car to not start?
What is the next step to take so I can troubleshoot and get the car running?
Update: I connect a wire from the starter solenoid and the engine started! now I think I need to figure out if the ignition switch is bad!! I will update.
For the Onstar box, if I buy a used one from ebay or a junk yard, is this will fix the issue or I need to reprogram it?
Thanks in advance for help
