does anyone know what size the exhaust piping on an 09 aveo is? i plan on putting some exhaust on my whip.
well i guess a better question would be. would a 2.5in inlet muffler fit my speed racer?
I take it you're not going cat-back then? The stock piping on 1st gen is 2", I don't think they went up by much in the second generation Aveos... 2.5 seems a little excessive, but should work with the right step.. why not just go all out with a cat-back?
i wasnt aware that there was a cat back available for the aveo. would you possibly have a link?
There is no cat-back for the Aveo. It's pretty cheap to get one made. Also the stock size is 1.75" not 2".Quote:

That's labor included. And ontarian_frog, I was just going by what the exhaust shop told me when they removed my old one, but that could be the info for the 06. I can't remember what year yours is. Either way, 2.25" felt less restricted, but it could be me throwing out the stock muffler and both stock resonators too (you can't really keep your old stuff if you're going up in the pipe size...
Just stop by your local muffler shop and ask them how much they'll charge. They can do it in about 45 minutes tops...
well this is what i bought

nice. it will look great~ pics once mounted!!
4 1/2 inch tip... that's as JDM as hunteroo would like to have it. ;)
You can take that to your local exhaust shop and have them throw it on together with the rest of your cat-back exhaust...

i bet it sounds nice though. since you already have the muffler it should be cheaper when you take it in to get the rest of the exhaust done
well im hoping it sounds good. ill try to post a vid if i can. someone is gonna have to tell me how if its even possible
The link says 4 1/2, buddy. O.D... so that's outside diameter. I'm not sure what you're reading... 8) Must be a JDM rule, add half an inch to every written measurement... ;)Quote:
