Aveo pcv valve changed now excessive oil consumption

I have a 2009 Chevy Aveo That the PVC valve went bad in. So I bought a new valve cover from Amazon and put it on. Now the car is using an excessive amount of oil when I pull the dipstick there is vacuum, so much vacuum that when I pull the oil fill cap, you can barely get it off. I ordered a replacement valve cover, thinking the first one I got was bad and it still does the same thing. My question is why did the car start Using oil (half a quart a week - 100 miles)after I put the valve cover on? It would only use half a quart between oil changes before( 3000 miles).Is there something else causing the excessive vacuum and oil usage? Thanks

The only thing that can cause excessive vacuum in the crank case is a bad PCV. I’d return the cover as defective.

Do you have a recommendation on a good replacement valve cover that is properly built? I have tried 2 of this brand and had the same results.

I have ordered a different brand of valve cover. We will see what happens.
