the wheel bearings will allow the wheel to wobble, just it up and secure the suspension (not to mistake suspension movement for wheel wobble) and then try pulling the wheel in out, up down etc.. do it again without the rim to verify.. if the hub moves, you need bearings..
cv joint the only inspect you can do is if the boots are torn or leaking. otherwise, put the car in neutral, turn the wheel lock to lock with your hand on the joint and feel for clicking or jerks in the joint. Try turning them over by hand while they are straight, turned fully either way. and feel for clicks, binds etc.
