Blower Motor Noise Vibration On Low Speed

Anyone else having slight blower motor noise only on low speed. This is a 2008 Sedan. Sounds like a vibration, rattle but again only on low speed, goes away at higher speeds. Blower speed seems like normal. 22K on car. Any suggestions or experiences related to this.

I would not worry about it, but if it does not go away in a few days/week then I would take it to the dealer and let them look at it (if it is under warranty that is). I have a weird noises time from time and they go away after a little while. Something may have gotten up in there or something.

this seems like it could be a debris, or a balance issue. IF it only happens on low speed, it could be either one.

Does it happen if you put it to high first and then down to low?

This vibration occurs irregardless of whether going from high to low or low to high. Somehere on here and I can't find it again now someone mentioned that there was a revised/superceded blower motor number from GM? Can anyone remember?

thought i might chime in,my 05 has been doing the same thing only on 2 lowest settings.may be a common problem.this dosnt help you but i did notice its easy access to drop motor from under the glove box to check it out.i think its a small rub/balancing issue and thats why it goes away at faster speeds

I had the same problem. It went away when a new cabin air filter was installed.

I am planning on replacing the cabin filter when I am in there. Just want this to be a one time deal as I hate to throw away money on another blower motor if it is not going to cure annoyance. Anyone remember a superceded updated number for me to order from GM or is that going to be automatic? Thanks everyone for input.

in this case though, since a member had a similar issue and replacing the filter fixed it, i would try that before buying the whole motor. If that fixes the issue your not really losing much accept the aded time i removing the glove box a second time.

The superceded motor though (i havent confirmed for myself) but if it was superceded, it might be a brush issue or something inside the motor.
