Broke plastic retainer clip on ignition coil holding plug - ideas?

      2009 Chevy Aveo

Well, I thought it'd be "easy" to replace the spark plugs on my Aveo. Which, technically, it was. However, I managed to break the plastic retainer clip that holds the electrical plug to the ignition coil. GM does not sell the clip as a separate unit and the only way to get it is to buy a complete $2000 wire harness for the engine. So, I currently have the electrical plug zip tied to the ignition coil using a silicone caulk to hold the female and male ends together.

      Two questions:
      1. Has anyone run into a similar problem in the past?
      2. What did to do to "make" your own plastic clip?

Thanks for any advice in advance, I can't believe I managed to break the clip...
