broken weld on slave cylinder arm

      Hello everyone,
I'm new to the forum and just had my car towed home courtesy of AAA. The clutch wouldn't engage and when I got the car home, the slave cylinder piston and arm fell onto the street. The weld had broken where it attaches to the shaft into the transmission.
Has anyone out there had a similar problem? Can this transmission be saved? What a terrible design!

Bad welds do happen. I haven't heard of this either though. Can you get us a picture of it?
