i cant get my car to run right, it starts fine unless i have to give it fuel after the first few cranks. once it starts the rpms go up a little as do all cars during ignition and then it just drops out and stalls. once i get it to stay running it runs at a very low rpm and the rpms do not stay stable. it also is an automatic and when i run up first gear in the first gear setting it doesnt slow me down when i let off the throttle. it just stays there. so it isnt slowing me down like it used to, and it isnt like it slowly started doing this like the gear went out, it just happened one day. my assumption as of now is the crank position sensor, i cleaned out my idle air control valve. im not sure what to check next. once the car gets warm it runs fine. i am a mechanic so repairs are not an issue for me and i love my car so im not worried about the money. i assume that i could find the problem with some detective work but i would really appreciate some input. if anyone had this issue and found a fix please let me know.
