Check Engine Light

Does anyone know if there is a way to pull the check engine light codes without a scanner?
I have a couple Dodge vehicles that will let you get the codes by turning the ignition key off and on three times and it will post the code on the odometer. Can this be done on my 2009 Aveo5 LT?

Never heard of a key dance available for Aveos, but Autozone and some of the other parts guys will read the code for free.

Yeah, most autoparts stores will read codes for free. Just take it there.
