P2106 - Throttle Actuator Control System - Forced Limited Power
P2110 - Throttle Actuator Control System - Forced Limited RPM

Doesn't say much. But they had a ECM update TSB#06-06-04-050. Don't know what that means....

Anywho, just to let you guys know there is an update out there, at least for the 06.

I was really happy with the service too. They ajusted the linkage for the transmission, now is really easy to shift. Didn't even have to tell them. I hope I won't see that CEL again.

I work for GM, and at our dealership we had 4 aveos come in this week. 1 for wheel bearings, and 3 for ECU issues because of the cold weather. GM released a known issue in our computers for the Aveo and cold weather ECU problems. It is required to flash the ECU with the updated program which wil fix the problem. The problems have to do with recognizing sensors liek the TB while its below frezing causing misfired and throttle issues. 2 of the 3 we flashed, fried the ECU, and this also is a known issue. Of course we replaced the backordered ECU's for free. Evidentally this is a big issue seeing as GM had the ECUS in backorder. I have an 07, and have not run into any issues yet.
I went to an agency today, not the one I bought the car from, but a Pontiac dealer. I told them that I wanted them to check for the updates that you mentioned. I've had problems in cold weather starts. The guy checked in his computer and it said that there were no known issues/updates, etc... for the 06 Wave/Aveo. I haven't gotten any CEL.

I don't understand. I'm thinking that I should take what your you posted with me.
