Cranked my 2005 Aveo yesterday, it ran but then cut off. Try cranking again but would not catch. I notice that I could not hear the pump working. After several try I started hearing the pump agian then a couple of seconds later it started running again. Could the pump be going? If so is it located in the gas tank? And how to replace it?

Could be. Have you checked the fuel pressure at the rail to confirm? Could be a lot of things, so I would make sure before wasting time/money. The pump is in the tank, and there should be an access panel under the rear seat to access it without dropping the tank. If you see low fuel pressure could just be a clogged filter as well.
it could also be the relay. I would swap it with another just to see if it solves the problem (pick A/C or fan?)
then if that solves the problem buy a new one. If not check fuel pressure, and probably do the pump.
if it is only a hard start issue, and comes back, then it could be a pressure loss in the gas tank through the eval system. I have seen them bleed down and then need to catch up.
