A few months ago my wife hit a curb in my 2011 aveo 5 ls. She was going about 30 or 35 and hit it dead on. The rim was bent and we initially replaced the rim and tire. After a week she complained it was pulling to the.left so I checked it out and found it was pulling HARD to the left. Since we knew it needed a hub bearing on the right front I took it apart and inspected it. I noticed the control arm was bent at the very end so I replaced it and the hub bearing. Then had an alignment done. Now its a lot better and drives pretty straight except a few things.
When you gas it it pulls left.
When you brake it pulls right.
Steeringwheel still isnt straight when you drive straight
And when you gas it hard and make it shift it jumps
Sounds like you are on the right track. hopefully just CV's.
Try jack up the car and try pull the tyre left and right and up and down and see if it has any play. (maybe chock the back wheels so the car doesnt fall on you)
Just my thoughts
Get a measuring tape and a helper and measure the distance from the shock tower to the rad support on the opposite side of the car. Do the same on the other side. Basically, see if the front of the car is still square. The shop that did the alignment should have been able to tell this on their rack, but a good shop wouldn't have let a car out in this condition. You may be able to go back and get it redone. I would also check for a broken engine/transmission mount.
