      Deleted all keys from ecu

I think I screwed myself. I tried to program a new key into my car using an xtool scanner https://www.xtooleshop.com/, but it ended up deleting my only working key and now I can't start the car (just cranks and immobilizer light flashes).

What are my options here? Is there any way for me to reset ECU? Add keys? Disable immobilizer? What do people do that swap in a new ECU?

Any help or ideas is appreciated.

Which model tool did you buy? The link you gave is only to the site.

I was hoping your tool would have an “all keys lost” option for that Aveo series. Looks like it does for the Sonics. Bummer.

Thanks for the tip, I'll try that.

      1. Insert a master key (black head) into the ignition switch
Is a master key something special only a dealer would have? Or any key that works will become master key?

Your guess is as good as mine. I would just use your original key first, and hope for the best.

Passkey 3 relearn didn't work. Security light never turned off. It's just a flashing red dot, not an Icon like in videos I've seen online. I don't think it's using GM passkey. Any way I can tell?

      It's a 2004 Canadian (US?) Model

From everything I can find you have passkey 3. Try it again with a battery charger hooked up to keep everything topped off. The 1st key I would use is the one that used to work. Some posts I’ve seen take up to 30 minutes for the light to turn off.
