      driver-side wiper skips

My driver-side wiper skips near the bottom of the downward stroke, leaving a large swath of dirty windshield in my line of sight. The skip occurs at speeds upwards of 20 mph. At highway speeds, both wipers shake slightly in the resting position. I suspect there is a great deal of turbulence just under the lip of the hood at the base of the windshield. Are there any aftermarket wiper spoilers or wiper wings available for the 2008 Aveo5 LS? What is the best wiper for this car?

Thanks for the suggestion. I have similar wipers on the car right now: Rain X Latitude All-Season Buy Rain X Latitude All-Season Beam Wiper Blade, 22" 5079279 at Advance Auto Parts

These blades have a similar contour to create downward force, but they still skip above 20 mph. If you come across any wiper wings or spoilers, please let me know. Thanks.

I have used just about every wiper blade ever made and the best ones are the trico ones I posted, the contour is about 3 times as aggressive as any of the other ones rainx included, the others don't work as you posted, with the trico ones there is no need for anything else, do what I did, buy only the drivers side one first, test it to see if it works for you.

Not quite that cold, but it does dip down between -10 and -20 here. Thanks again.

My problem was corrosion getting in the pivot of the wiper arm and preventing the spring to keep the the wiper blade on the windshield. I could fix it by spraying penetrating fluid at the pivot and wiggling the arm until it freed up, but the problem would come back after a few weeks. I eventually broke the arm off one night wiggling it free and ended up buying a new one for about $25 at the dealer.
I leased Pontiac Wave from September 2006 to August 2011.

My rear wiper did that, but seeing as I never actually look out the rear Window I'm none to concerned to replace it yet. It still has enough pressure on the Window to get most of it clean.
