      ealer installed timing belt

Just wanted to let everyone know I had the dealer change out the timing belt, water pump, coolant and serpentine belt. Out the door (tax everything) was $471.07

I think at that price I would only of saved $190 labor by doing it myself. Now I have a warranty and dealer installed parts. Whats everyone think reasonable deal?

They also swapped the Throttle Body out under warranty. This is the seond one in 7 months. This is supposed to be the "new design" one.Wardie

They also replaced the Timing pullys, correct? That's a very good price compared my area. Before I did this job a couple years ago, I called around and they wanted that much just to replace the belt alone. However, I'm seeing the parts for my '05 (you didn't give a year), at around $120. That would make the labor savings more like $350. But, regardless of that, yes I would call it a good price.

I wanted a warranty and piece of mind that having a Chevy dealership do the work can provide. Alos it's damn cold here in Ohio and that plenum heater just won't cut it...What's up with these throttle position sensors on the throttle bodies? Second one under warranty in 7 months. Supposed to be a new design.
