Electrical problem

Hi all.
I just got my 2009 Aveo LT last month and love it. However, yesterday my cruise control went out, a light high-pitched humming noise can be heard in the cabin (seems to be coming from engine), and there's a 1-second delay in turning the key and the engine starting. I am still under warranty, but scared to trust it in the hands of dealership (the mechanics are not too bright). Are there any suggestions of what I can do, or is my only option the dealership. I've heard of an ECM problem.

go to a different dealer with brighter mechanics?

your issues dont seem like that much of an issue, maybe just things you are noticing now that the new car feel is over?

Def go to a different dealership. But look on the bright side, if they mess it up, they have to fix it!
