Looks like I'm having the same issue on my Aveo. Mine keeps blowing fuse #5 on the fuse block under the hood. I'm wondering if it is a door switch as well. Or something shorting out _someplace_. For now I've removed the fuse, but now the alarm doesn't chirp, the door ajar light stays on, and the dome light or trunk light does not light up. Wondering if it is a door switch? Or if I can find a replacement someplace?

Also the 'window down' switch on the driver's door does not function for the passenger front, but when I reach over, the window goes up and down.

Don't know if it is all related or not. What was the fix for your issue? Thanks!
