I put on a set of after market wheels yesterday and this morning the emission light pops on. I checked the manual and it indicated that a change in tire size could cause this. Could a change in wheels do the same? Never had the light on before.

I think petrified.rabbit already answered that question for you in the other thread... by the way, you mean CEL light?

uhhh, the light that is a little orange engine next to the clock. Is that called the CEL?

The last kid to put gas in my car wound the plastic wire that connects the gas cap to the car around my gas cap threads when he put it back on. No seal on cap led to emissions light or CEL. Cap tightened, light went off. I always assume that they do it right, being we can't pump our own gas in oregon.
well, that would explain it. That's the beauty of filling up your own car - you can make sure at least that's done right. And they always expect a tip from you, or so it seems...

If it's your only option, no tip :P
I used to do it too so it's not like I'm harsh.
Sound like the issue was solved, good deal
I still tipped them for the most part. I'm inside a warm car and they're outside in Oregon rain... Most of them were quick though. And then there are some that decide to take a lunch break while your car is filling up. long wait=no tip. Just like restaurant or coffee shop. Plus I prefer to fill up my own car anyways. Don't like to spill the gas on the paint and leave it there... What state did you do it in, rabbit?Originally Posted by petrified.rabbit

Pennsylvania it was optional full service.
That's different though. If full service is optional and I choose to do it - I better tip. If there is no choice - as in Oregon... it's a different story. Like I said though, I still tipped.Originally Posted by petrified.rabbit
