Engine light on/ dealership can't find anything wrong/ 2nd time.. need advice.. 106,0

I own a 2008 Aveo hatchback..@ 60,000 miles replaced timing belt. @ 75,000 miles after filling upwith gas @ Meijers, engine ligh came one.. Dealership replaced sensor. Now @ 106,500 miles, after filling up @ Meijers again, the engine light comes on again. Took to dealership.. *Thinking about getting timing belt replaced again.. The dealership said nothing wrong with car. Got oil change, picking up car tomorrow.. Should I get the timimg belt replaced asap? I drive 83 miles one-way to work three times a week.. Gas killing me, but get nealy 33 miles if I drive 60 mph.. What is the shelf life of the 2008 Aveo..?? I have an automatic trans.. Love my car... Need help and advice on maintence..

You need to know what code was set the caused the CEL to come on. It could be something as simple as the gas cap not being tight enough.

As far as the timing belt...I would tend to not go over the recommended service interval for something that causes so much damage if it fails. If your car lives most of it's life in top gear, you could probably stretch the maintenance interval out a little bit, but it is not something I would do.

Shelf life of an Aveo? It will run as long as you're willing to keep it going. As the car ages, it's value declines and maintenance costs increase. At some point, it will make more sense to replace rather than repair but when that point is reached depends more on you than the car. 300k miles is no problem for the major components of an Aveo that is properly maintained and driven mostly highway miles.
Sorry GM, the Turbo Sonic was priced too close to the Focus ST. I gots me a Ford.

shelf life? isnt that only relevant if the car is sitting (on a shelf) unused ?

do the maintenance as required, and the aveo will last as long as any other car of the same year, has the same possibilities for issues as any other car, and will be less expensive for parts than most of those other cars.

as for the code, its 30k miles apart, i highly doubt its the same thing. But my suggestion, stop filling up at meijers?

We have a 2006 Aveo Sedan LS and we had the same problem when we filled up with McClure gas. Our Check engine light came on and it was the 02 sensor so i ran the tank almost empty and fiiled up somewhere else and a day or so later it went off. About six months later (with no light) i tryed filling up with McClure gas again and the same thing happend, CEL for 02sensor so I stopped using McClure gas. Everythings been fine since, my advice is just leave meijer gas alone lol idk why but all that mattered to me is that it worked.

Yes I had an engine light appear after filling at a certain station as well on a 1996 chev 4x4 extended cab...the after cat o2 sensor eventually failed and after new one was installed I could fuel anywhere...so you may have a sensor on the verge of crappin out
