Hello,
As my first post I'd like to preface this with saying that I did indeed search the forums and did not find an answer to my issue. lol...
First, I should note that this is concerning my 2007 Chevy Aveo Sedan.
I was having alternator problems and this morning I pulled the old one out and put in the new one. After it was done everything worked fine. This evening I went to drive my car and I noticed my headlights were out. My high beams, turn signals, marker lights... they all work. It's just my low beams that don't work (both when the switch is on and the when the parking brake is disengaged with the switch off). I don't know if they were out right after I finished the alternator job, I just noticed after the sun went down and I went to use my car.
Under normal circumstances my first thought would be to change the switch. However, I thought it to be odd that this happened right after I changed my alternator. I double checked all the wiring connections and everything looked to be fine.
I'm stumped and wanted to see if anyone had any suggestions before I try changing my switch.
