      help me

      in 06 i aomost totaled my car in an accident and ever since i got it back i have to push the shift lock release button to get out of park . now there is a fuse if i put in i dont have to use teh shift lock release but my radio and other stuff stay on . what should i do ????n someone help me

      can your local dealership do anything to help you? is anything still under warranty?

      well i dont belive that anything is under warranty but i know if i take it to the dealer it will cost me an arm and a leg so i was hoping to get some advice

      trade in for a manual aveo

      no seriouslytho thats ****ed up, ur radio n **** stay on? after u shut the car off?
      You can not commit crimes in a Aveo. Its just not fast enough.

      ya if i put the fuse in the radio and the beeping sound like the door is open witht he keys goes off

      sounds like your ignition lock/neutral safety switch on the column:

      i think my car leaves the radio on until the key is out and i open the door.
      the neutral safety switch powers from the key in/on, and brake lights on to release the shifter. if it always thinks the key is in (chiming you mentioned) it would not turn the radio off when you open the door.

      im not 100% sure though without a wiring diagram.

      ya all i know is my **** is all ****ed up (excuse my language) and i still have no gauge lights

      how is an '06 not still under warranty? Wouldn't they at least help you diagnose the problem?

      i would think it should still be under warranty too. anyhow. i would try that or call the insurance company that fixed it they should have lifetime satisfaction on the work they paid for for your car..
