      Help Please with 2006 Aveo

      Hello,

I own a 2006 aveo LT. I have 2 issues that I can't figure out and although I keep brining it in to get fixed the problems keep coming back.

1st issue - check engine light keeps coming on. I've brought it in twice. the first time I got a new gas cap the second time I got a new blinker light. The technician said the computer is not seeing any other issues.
The light seems to trigger when I accelerate quickly.

2nd issue, which may or may not be related to the check engine light. The car stutters(it feels a little like a stall) around the 50-60 MPH mark when accelerating. Again, the technician at the shop can't seem to find anything wrong.

the car has about 73,000 miles on it. the timing belt was recently changed and it gets regular oil/filter changes.

could it be the CO2 sensors or the Spark plugs?

Thanks so much in advance for whatever help or insight you can provide.

Change the coil pack, spark plugs and spark plug wires and you should be good to go. I am glad to see you are on the ball though. Another thing that may be giving you those issues is the TB and the sensor, but the coil pack/etc is the problem most of the time.

      Welcome to the forum btw!

i agree with hunter on the wires coil pack and plugs, check them by misting water on them while it is running before spending money though. I would also suggest looking at the timing marks, just to be confident its dead on, if you doubt the ignition system stuff will fix it.

Those are the only two things that might turn on a light, but not always leave a code.

      Thanks!
      I'll mist with water tonight.
I really appreciate this, as this has been a problem for over 6 months now.

Should have gotten on here sooner

Also, if the stuff we talked about does not pan out, the code from the check engine light would help us, if it gives a code that is,

Could be O2 Sensors not keeping a good mix of air/gas, but that usually triggers a code. COil pack, plugs, and wires sounds good too.
