Since I have been going through Silverstar bulbs regularly I was thinking of going with an HID kit. One of the questions asked is the daytime running light on the low or the high beam. Anyone have the answer?

Low beams for drl
On my 2010, the DRLs are only 6v. My hids dont work; or only one does sometimes when the DRLs are on.
Mine worked fine with a relay harness as DRL's

did you realize there was recent recall on day light running lights
Just pull the NA DRL fuse if you're going HID. Turn your lights on when you drive since you're up in Canada...

Please for the love of everybody else out there DONT PUT A HID KIT IN THERE the glare is stupid, do what i did, go to theretrofitsource.com order a projector kit, you can start with the morimoto mini h1s, they are just as plug n play in the aveo, will be 1000 times better than any ebay hid kit check out my thread in the exterior board on here
Chill out, Kevin. Yes, projectors are better. Light output is far more superior than a PnP HID kit.. As a matter of fact, Morimoto Mini H1 is what I'm currently running on my LNF SS / TC Cobalt.
BUT. They're 3x the price, require baking your headlights apart, so not as plug and play as you say they are, buy a separate set of headlights (which also adds to the price). And it's non reversible. Easy to mess up. Time consuming.
So yes, they are better, but require way more time, money, and work.
It's their car, let them decide. If aimed properly, their PnP kit can provide more light output while keeping the glare down..
It's like saying "please, for the love of everyone, don't modify and Aveo, do it like I did modify a turbo Cobalt/STI/R32 Golf/EVO/350Z. Way better and more power" but fail to mention that it's also a lot more money.
Also, please put a link to your thread in here, not just mention it and make everyone search. And try to make your post helpful to the OP.
Now that we got that straight, good job on installing a proper retrofit. Post some pictures or a link.

Im posting this from my iphone so getting links is quite a bit harder, i put acura tls in mine, required alot of cutting, it was the first time i had done a projector retro i had the whole thing done in less than a day. Opening the housings was also not difficult had both apart in 20 min, i did run a pnp hid kit and even when aimed the glare was all over the place, so about 200 kms down the road i ripped em out and put my halogens back in.
Im sorry if i came off harsh but i live in a town full of d bags that make way to much and put 10000k hids in their jacked up trucks or rice rockets. So im on a personal mission to educate as many people as i can about projectors.

All good, man. I see your point. You gotta agree that they do cost a bit more and not as easy for someone not as mechanically inclined as the PnP.
And thanks for the link to the thread.
