My 07 aveo svm with 11,000 just out of warranty now has a broken horn. It just stopped working. Tried hitting the horn itself and checked the wire connection. All is fine there. Checked the power at the plug with a meter and nothing. I can hear the relay clicking when I push the button, but I suppose that doesn't mean it has to be working correctly? Should i start with replacing the relay?
it came up in another thread than the relay supplies ground, and the horn should have 12v, not sure of that accuracy, but i would check the horn for power, check for power on the two positives of the relay. and check the relay. this will at least narrow down which section of the system is at fault.
