Hey guys! I've been trying to find an automatic transmission filter for my '07 Aveo. No one seems to sell it. Also, can anybody give me an idea of how much trouble it is to change?

It's not the size that counts, it's how you handle it!
2007 Chevy Aveo LS
You can purchase your transmission filter from Oreilly auto; part numbers for both the AC delco and the power torque brands
ACDelco - Transmission Filter Part Number: 93741509
If purchasing the AC Delco you need to purchase the pan gasket extra listed as Fel-Pro - Automatic Transmission Oil Pan Gasket Part # TOS18758
or just purchase the PowerTorque it comes with the Gasket.
PowerTorque® - Transmission Filter Part Number: FK395
Transmission fuild type Toyota type T AKA Type T-IV automatic transmission (Dexron VI)
Yuo will need about 2.2 quarts unless you are going to do a full flush.
Thanks so much. I was looking all over the info on the trans filter and what type of fluid. I bought Dexron VI , was recomended by Autozone.(they got something right) Now to get the filter and gasket.
Thanks so much again..........
2006 Aveo 54,000 miles...I know I should have changed the fluid at 30,000.....
Frank
That is correct.
Other marketed versions of Dexron such as sold by Toyota or GM won't be harmful - except to your wallet, for they are usually more expensive.
As I recall the most economical product to buy is Valvoline Max, especially when bought by the gallon (click here). In my area Advance Auto had the best price on it.
I got one from orielly also. They had to order it, but got it in the same day. I think it was just over $20.
