      How to replace Coolong fan

Hi Everyone my name is Tim and I have a issue.
I have a 2008 Chevy Abel, it's yellow and I love my car. I haven't had any issues with it untill now and it's sitting at 70000 miles. I just arrived home from work and I was about to head off to college but when I came back out my I seen a little smoke and smelt burning plastic conning from the hood. I immediately parked it, noticing that the engines heater gauge was high and I killed the engine and popped the hood and noticed my cooling fan wasn't working that the whole thing was shot and that's where the smoke was conning from. Can anyone tell me how to replace it, what after market parts to buy and do I also have to replace the radiator with it? Is it a fairly easy process?! Please help me with getting my car back on the road

Did the smoke have a smell?? Like fried electronics? Or a coolant smell? Im trying to see if the fan motor has burnt out or like another member a few months back had his fan blades chaffe a cooling fin causing a leak, thus requiring a whole new set up. Just reread that the" plastic smelled " -have u found the deformed piece, something has to b looking funky???

The fan blade isn't even...on. like I touched it and it's not even connected anymore, completely wobbley. I didn't see any leakage, but the smell of the crap/burning whatever is all over my clothes still. The smoke was all conning from the thing that connects to the fan. It's circular and has wires running into it. Thank you so much for your replys and insight, means a lot.

No need to thank me u solved ur own problem. It sounds like the fan's motor has burnt out. See what others think, but I would start web surfing for a salvaged one
