During the past two months my factory installed cruise control on my 2009 Aveo is working intermittently. Sometimes it works sometimes it will not set. What would cause this?? Besides the factory cruise control switch on the steering wheel is there a switch on the Clutch or Brake Pedal that may need adjusting or some sensor somewhere that I should check ???? Please Advise.

I have the same problem with my 09 as well, my car is an automatic though. It's the funniest thing, it'll stop working for the duration of the time the car is on, then on the next or next few starts, it'll work like normal. It works more times then not, but still it's annoying as hell.
How long has it been happening for you? It seems like it just started for me around 6 months ago.

It is exactly how you describe. I have tried to figure out how or why it happens, but it does not seem to have any ryhm or reason. It has been going on for several months and sucks when I got to put on cruise and wont work. It does come back and does work more than not, but at least a few times a week it wont work.
It's an old thread but, if anyone is having this issue I've read in the truck forums that it usually is a bad brake light switch. My cruise control is a bit wonky too. Hoping to check that switch tomorrow.
