      Lights Turning Off

Ok so coming home from work, i noticed that when i step on my brakes and turn signals on, my headlamps lose power, and start flickering. Battery is 6 months old, No HID lights, ( took them out because the plug that connects to the bulbs have a " short circuit" ) so just have regular lights in now. The only LEDs i have are Reverse and interior light. Not sure as to what it is. The last time it did that was when i had Led signal bulbs in the front, and it ended up burning out all but one o my tail lights, and made the radio go dim every so often....

      Any clues>?

first thing I would Scrutinize is the battery terminals; are they clean of Corrosion? with today's highly computerized cars, the slightest amount of terminal corrosion would wreak havoc with the voltages the car needs; the second part I would look at is the Alternator; see if you can get your hands on a Multimeter, and check the battery voltage while the car is running with the headlights on Low Beam. I went and tested mine, which has a Known good Charging System, and it read 14.76 Volts; 12-13 volts would likely indicate a weak alternator; anything below 12 volts would indicate the alternator is not charging at all.
