Know a person with a ford windstar has been in the shop 5 of the 7 months she has owned it, and she is driving a rental due to the big axel recall making it dangerous to drive.

I used to be a vehicle test driver for Roush Industries in LB, CA (coolest job I ever had!). We had the Windstar when it was a prototype still, tons of issues with that rear suspension. Ford still sold it without fixing the problem as it did with the early Focus brakes, ignition, fuel line... I would advise her to get ready of it when she can.

Speaking of recalls, don't you love it when you get a notice for a recall in the mail, and you take it to the dealership, they fix it, but they still keep sending you the same damn recall notice once every month? And you keep calling them to tell them that it was already taken care of, so they check their records and say your right, but you still get the damn notice anyways?

They should have a recall on the seatbelt and Passenger Airbag sensors on 2006 chevrolet Aveo not long after we bought the car it started to have the Passenger Airbag off even when someone was sitting in the seat. Another lite that is on is the Airbag light we took it to the dealer to get it fixed they fixed it but weeks later it came back on and is still on.

depends on the weight of the person, when lighter people sit in the seat the airbag will stay off, I think they go by weird standards, like that smaller people should never sit in the front seat, there are even guldelines for people under 4-11" to sit in a booster seat in the back seats, I dont know lol

Well the technician who fixed the first time said the wire under the passenger seat is loose and had to be fixed.
