You are the only one with it
That would be funny if they only recalled a couple of cars on a recall.....

Not the only one. Got a letter in the mail today telling of a voluntary recall for the same problem on my 2011 Aveo, so check the mail, as yours may be coming soon....
You are getting new parts, you should be happy
2010 Aveo just got my recall letter. I guess plugs were due every 20,000 miles and I am at 41,000. Whoops. Time to bring it in I guess. I was getting 32-34 MPG highway mileage so never worried. idle is rougher though so it will be nice to see the changes after they replace the parts.
A body to G Body to F Body to DSM to Subcompact?
Ive been changing my plugs every 10k, guess that helps. But hey, $6 every time it starts running "funny" isnt bad..
I did get my letter, guess I need to schedule an appointment, good thing they dont need to put it on a lift to replace spark plugs.
There was a recall in Europe (specifically, Germany) here for my 2008 Aveo hatchback, 1.2L, 84 HP. They had to switch out the brake fluid for a different kind because for SOME it had a degregation of braking power after a while.
Had recall on my 2008 Aveo.
What is the recall for?

2008 Aveo5 SV
I will think of a better signature later.
I got the same letter for my 2011 Aveo5. Ironically, it had a spark knock/stall if i drove around, and kept shutting it off, and turning it on again. Like running errands. After the fix it was fine for a week....then it did it again for a few months. one day it started to knock, i pulled the clutch, revved and dropped the clutch (bad i know)- but now it stopped the knocking. That was a year ago....
Ive had recalls on my 2008 aveo. Once for spark plug boots, and another for the abs system. Never went in for the second one, but its probably a good idea.
