Low fuel wanrning light

My 2010 Aveo LT low fuel warning light is barely visible during daylight hours. What is the point of this warning light if you can't see it? I have the dash light cluster rheostat thumbwheel turned up maximum and if I didn't know where to look on the dash for the low fuel warning light it would be totally invisible. Is this a problem with the bulb misaligned in a dash light cluster tube or what because you sure can't see it? Any other car I've owned that had a low fuel warning light you could see it shining bright day or night.

Typically these idiot light fuel indicators will cycle on and off and glow only dimly when they first appear, but get brighter as the tank becomes emptier. Of course you could look at the fuel gauge if in doubt...

I have an 05, and I tend to run my tank nearly dry sometimes. With about .7 of a gallon left its dimly on. But after that it does get gradually brighter. I wouldn't worry about it. Run your tank a bit more after you initially see it and see if it gets brighter.

According to your Owner's Manual pg., 4-36 it states that the low fuel warning light comes on when there is approximately 1.7 gallons (6.0 liters) of fuel remaining in the tank. The dim fuel light is an indicator to prompt you to re-fuel and afterwards the light will become brighter. If you feel that it's not working properly, I would contact the dealership. Good luck!
