My 07, High idle and the 12 codes.

I have a very interesting situation I'm hoping I could get some insight on. I started my car and let it warm up I was traveling on my way home from Detroit to Grand Haven. I stopped midway to get gas and noticed the RPM didn't go down. Shut it off got gas and started it again and the idle was 3500 in neutral. It then I would not go below 2500 when I put my foot on the clutch. Drove it on the highway until I got halfway between fueling up and home and hit traffic. It was going crazy when I stopped and went to go again. Decided to stop at the nearest autozone to get the codes read and I had 12 of them come up.

      The codes are
      P0340
      P0016
      P2106
      P2110
      P2135
      P0455
      P161b
      P0498
      P0455
      P0498
      P2282
      P0507

We disconnected the battery and let it reset so that I could drive it home at normal rpms.

With that many codes, I'm a little overwhelmed at where to start. I would appreciate any advice and have anybody else had this happen; I would love to know what you did and what happened.

I'd start by checking the ground attached to the starter.

What is the correlation of that with my issue(s)?

We're starting with replacing the camshaft sensor, and going to pick up a throttle valve assembly tomorrow as well.

Although sensors do sometimes fail, it's a lot more common for wires (especially grounds) to become corroded and loosen up or break down over time. I always try to check related wiring and connectors before starting to hang on parts. The wire on the starter motor is the ground for the cam sensor, and a bunch of other things as well.

Thank you! I appreciate you taking the time to explain that to me. I guess we need to lift her up and take a look before getting into a bunch of other things.
