Need help 2008 aveo alarm.

I was running out to get my dog food and went to unlock the car and it just beeps like I am locking it. Tried it multiple times and waited a few minutes in-between trying it again. Manually put the key in the door to unlock it and it does soon as I open the door the alarm goes off until I hit the lock/unlock button. If I go to start the car it starts but the alarm goes off have to take the key back and hit the lock/unlock button for it to stop. Disconnected the negative battery terminal for an hour hooked it back and still doing the same thing. Any suggestions

I had this exact problem with my 2008 Aveo tonight. Except I was going out to get Thai take-out for dinner. I finally pulled the fuse for the horn to silence it. Then I pulled the fuse for the door locks thinking that might disable the alarm - It didn't. Hoping to find an answer here...

Yeah I still haven't found the answer been trying to do research online and can't find anything like it. I definitely don't want to take the car to a chevy dealership

I replaced the Front Driver Side Door Lock Actuator (P/N 96252707) this week and solved my alarm problem. It was about $30 on Amazon. Kind of tricky to access and replace but completely possible by an anti-mechanic like myself.

This is the genuine GM part I purchased: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1. I found some cheaper ones on other internet sites that may have worked but they either weren't genuine GM or didn't provide enough information to show that they were the right parts.
