      New here 2008 Aveo Question

I bought my daughter a 2008 Aveo LS, about 2 months ago it started a roaring in the rear when driving 40+ mph and has gotten louder now at slower speeds and at 65-70 you cant hear the person in the passenger seat talking to you.

      1. So I got in there and the shocks were weak so I replaced both sides (a little change but not much)
      2. ok maybe tires are bad. bought new tires mounted and balanced (quietened down for 3 days but not gone)
      3. ok last thing I thought it could be bad bearings ordered 2 new complete hubs from rock auto Installed them (no change at all)

I am about 600 bux in on trying to fix this I am about to toss it get her a different car. unless someone has another suggestion.

      This one is EASY!
since you don’t know where the noise is coming from, take it to a mechanic for diagnosis. That way you’re not throwing parts at it, and you’re only replacing what’s making noise.

Just wondering, when you say "2 new complete hubs", are you referring to the rear hubs? In my opinion, it sounds like one or both front wheel bearings have failed and need replacing.

yes rear hubs seems like the noise was coming from rear of the vehicle so that has been my focus.
