No DRL only High Beams

The other night my friend's car had only the driver-side low beam light illuminated until I knocked on the passenger side light a few times. Last night the car started up and this time the passenger light was on but no driver side light. After checking connections and checking fuses I now have zero illumination on either lights. Only the high beams work. At least one of the bulbs is nearly brand new. The fuses are good, the bulbs are properly seated, and the low lamp relay is working (swapped it with a couple other relays and even placed the low lamp relay in the fuel pump relay position, and successfully started the vehicle). I pulled the DRL module out but wasn't able to see anything visibly wrong with it (I am pretty sure it was replaced after purchase due to the recall on Aveo DRL modules but not entirely sure). If it was it would make the module only a couple years old at most. I feel like I'm stuck between taking a chance on the module or perhaps digging into the dimmer switch next. If it's neither of those I'm really unsure where to continue searching.

I would check your bulbs.

yeah bulbs. You need to pull them and inspect the filament. Or prove it's an electrical issue by turning on the lights and checking for voltage at the socket.
