Noise from the left-front

As I didn't found where I was looking for, through Google on this forum/going through recent threads in this "Troubleshooting and Maintenance" I am posting this thread right here. If not in the right place or somewhere a solution is already given, please let me know.

I noticed a weird sound after a couple of miles running. Most of the time above 100 km/h in 4th or 5th gear. It seems like a rattle is coming from the front left of the car, near the left front wheel of the car. At first I thought this was due to an incorrect tire-pressure. So after a week of hearing the noise I went to the air-pump of the fuel station and checked every wheel. Air pressures where off, so after checking every wheel all the wheels were on there right amount of pressure.
After that I went on the highway doing around 100 km/h again and the rattle was at least less then before. Around 120 km/h it seemed to disappear fully. Recently the rattle came back. Everything above 100 km/h will result in this rattle.

Anyone an idea ? Should I try a certain tire-pressure ? Can I check suspension or anything ? Don't want to go towards the dealer straight away. As they can be expensive. Want to figure out as much as I can up front.

sounds to me like perhaps one of the CV joints in the half-axle is going out. I'd try replacing the half-axle. If you half many miles on the car and that fixes the problem, I'd replace the other side as well, before it breaks and you get stuck needing a roll-back.
