I recently ran over a retread from a truck tire with my 2011 Aveo LT and my check engine light came on minutes later. The retread went under the center and right side of the car. I checked the codes as soon as I got home and got a p0137 and a p2270, both pertain to bank 1 sensor 2, the downstream sensor. I replaced the sensor, thinking the retread must have impacted it but I still get the same codes. Any suggestions?
Damage to the wiring harness and/or connector.
Hello and thanks for your reply. I did do a cursory inspection of everything underneath and found some places where impact was evident and it seems to have broken a plastic shroud piece under the front right where the o2 sensor wires are. Visual inspection of the wires didn't turn up anything but I know that can be deceiving. Next trip under the car I'll take a closer look. Thanks again!
Test it with a multimeter.
