      Oil everywhere

It has been happening for some time (spark plugs flooded with oil), but I have found more and more oil around and about. The sides of the head seem to get very dirty with oil, and there is a pool of oil on top of a piece of metal. I thought it would be a gasket or o-ring somehere (did have double the amount of oil in it for 3 miles until it backfired, dont ask) so I wonder if it blew out a seal of some sort. Having it looked at when everything else is installed.

no, the big plastic cover that has the oil cap is the valve cover, there is a seal between that and the head to keep oil in.
