Oil Leak
Just decided to change spark plugs in my 2006 Chevy Aveo. A little over 50K miles on it. I noticed that three of the four spark plug cylinder wells have oil in them (about 1/4 full). The spark plugs are totally soaked in oil when I pull them out. Did anyone experience the same problem? Is this a quick fix with a valve cover gasket?

Valve cover gasket is correct, even with a new gasket you may find a little bit oil, but this is a lot more than normal, I just changed my recently at 55,000 miles, but I blew mine out instead :D
I was wondering if you had any oil on the sides of the head as well?

Hi, I have the same problem with my 06. Pulled the plugs out and they were totally oil soaked. I think it might be more than a gasket, I'm thinking valve guides or seals. I just put new plugs in it and I will check it once a week, when they get soaked again I will take it to the dealer ( I bought an extended warrenty) I will report my findings later. This should not be happening at 45000 miles!!!!!!!!!

It is just the valve cover gasket, you would be burning oil or worse if it were the guides/seals.
See what the dealer says, welcome to the forum btw!!!

Thank you, I don't think it is a valve cover gasket because it is leaking internally into the cylinder. If it were the gasket it would be leaking externally onto the wires, ect. which it is not in my case. There is no oil on the outside of the wires or plugs
