When you did your retrofit to the new bulbs did you tap into anything you shouldnt have or bumb a ground? Not saying you dont know what your doing but if you didnt have these problems before you did this i would retrace my wiring to make sure. Good luck

The harness plugs into OEM socket and connects to battery. Problem persists with everything aftermarket disconnected. I'm just gonna rig up some sort of fuse switch that I can plug in to switch it off rather than remove the fuse

Aerosonic, problem is the taillights and dash lights are both powered off that same circuit. What you could do is try to modify the bulb socket for an 1156 bulb (single filament)

Which park lamp fuse are you pulling, because in my sedan that is the same year as your hatch (2010), there are TWO park lamp fuses in my underhood fuse box; it looks like the park lamps are served by one common relay, but are independently fused from each other. (something tells me you may have a short to ground inside the fuse box)

I pull them both. And pulling the relay doesnt shut them off.

Okay, my theory of something being shorted to a ground inside your fuse box is starting to look more and more viable.

only thing I can say is check the connections to the fuse box, something may have gotten jarred loose from a rough road. if everything seems okay with the connections, you might have to get a second opinion from your local dealer, and see if they can print out a wiring diagram.
