problems with rear suspension

So, i got in an accident a few months back. A car hit the back of my car
pretty hard. I repaired it and no problems. Not until i found out that the bar
that connects the tyres is kinda moved a little. Im not sure whats it called
in english. It looks like a bone for the car. I went to workshops to see what
they can do and they said its better to leave it like that or just sell it bcs they're
afraid that it might get worst if they try to repair it. I had to replace 3 tyres on
the left rear side of my car bcs of that problem. It keeps damaging the inner
tyre but not the outer.

youll want to replace it most likely. did you have it at an alignment shop? if the inner tire is damaged, then you have too much camber, you might be able to just shim it. But that is not 100%, replacing would be best.

I went to an alignment shop and they said they cant do anything. Just live with the problem and keep changing tyres
or just sell it. Its the rear beam. So i should get it from chevy dealer?

do you have any local salvage yards? might be a cheaper route.

but yes, go buy a new beam, before you do, look under the car check the body on the rail where the beam mounts. If it is damaged more than adjustable for, then the frame is a problem as well.

but the thing that attaches the beam to the car. I dont know what its called.

Ill try my best. This problem is bugging me bcs i keep having to change the tyres and
i cant live with that for another 5 years. Id probably need 5-8 tyres in a year -.-

Yeah, its the thing attached to the wheel. Its just kinda small. I think thats the one.
But it looks like its the thing that attaches the bone to the car.

the think that looks like a hand pointing a finger with holes? that is part of the axle beam, it is welded on, you need a rear axle.

So i should get it from a dealer? They sell only the rear axle?

used would be cheaper, if you have an yard near by.

Two and a half years ago, i paid $200 for the rear dead axle from an auto recycler, I dont know what the exchange rate is between u.s. and malaysia

Thats about RM 600 then. Quite costly for something like that. Or is it just normal?

its a big part, i've seen a few for $150 on ebay, and also in you pull it yards for $50.

Used parts prices are VERY subjective to location, type of yard, etc.

i'm looking to see if the rubber bushing (where the rear axel is held onto the car) are available...the dealership says no buy the whole axel....i think thats a load of crap ! anyone know if anything is out there in the aftermarket ???

i believe their is someone on ebay that makes and sells the bushings, i think their are a few topics (threads) on here using the bushings, it wont be an overly easy job though

I would also have to recommend a new alignment shop to the OP. No repair shop worth anything should tell you to live with it, atleast not on something you can replace. Just my thoughts.
