Quick Question (AC & temp gauge intermittently do not work)

Hey, found this forum by accident, so I have a quick question for you guys (and gals). I have a 2009 Chevy Aveo5, and have been having a weird issue. Sometimes when I park the car, and come out the next day to start it and head to work, the AC and temp gauge will not work. The temp gauge is pegged below C. I have to unhook the ground cable, then cycle the key switch a few times, and when I hook everything up, it works fine for a few weeks, then does it again. Yesterday on my way home from work, I noticed the gauge fall by itself while I was driving it, and the AC quit, but a few miles down the road, it started working again and the AC came back on. I THINK it may be a problem with a relay, but I do not know which one to change to see if it fixes it. I don't have the spare $$ to replace them all. Any suggestions?

to me, this sounds like an electrical issue, have you battery and alternator checked as soon as you can.
