      reverse switch location

      Hi,
I would like to test the reverse switch because the reverse light always stays on (and rear parking sensors operates even
when reverse is not engaded... very funny when you are driving ).
Could you please confirm that the switch is the one shown on the photos?
      Thank you
      Alby

      Good comment! ,

It's a 2010 5 speed manual trasmission, petrol and LPG version.

The reverse switch on my 2006 Aveo LS 1.6L is located underneath the 5 speed transaxle, in the cabin. You will need to take off the molding / kick guards on the transmission hump, and peel the carpet back to reveal the switch.

I thank you Hunterboy for your reply.
I found out that on my Aveo the reverse switch is located at the top of the gearbox. I replaced it but the problem remains!!! For now I have disconnected the switch connector while waiting to find a solution. I suspect that the defect involves the mechanism (inside the gearbox) that operates the switch. I have taken some photos that I will post in the forum for those who need to replace the switch.

      Hi,

As fixing the mechanical problem inside the gearbox would cost too much money (I have replaced the switch but the problem remains), I would like to put a switch in the shift lever area.

If I can find the route of the cable that reaches into the engine compartment, I could intercept it before it enters the engine compartment, otherwise I will connect a cable to the connector and re-enter the car's passenger compartment up to the gear lever area.

Does someone know where I could find the wiring diagram for my 2010 Aveo 5-door LPG?

      Many thanks
