Rpm drops when i press gas pedal

Ok so my car normally idles at about 1000 rpm. Well last night, when i started the car, she idled low and was kinda shaky all around. When i hit the gas pedal, the rpm drops just above the point of stalling out, but wont completely stall out. She will then very slowly crawl and take a full minute before building up power and starting to actually go. With this sudden acceleration, the rpm will quickly rise and the car will shift much later than normal. This happens every time i hit the gas pedal after a full stop, or even a brief slowdown. Any advice would be greatly appreciated

I'm just kind of shooting from the hip since I am just starting to work on these too. Unlike the FocusFanatics site, nobody has what they drive listed here. Depending on the mileage on your car, I would look at fuel filter, air filter. Either of those could starve the engine on acceleration but allow enough flow for maintaining rpm's or speed. If it's sudden, run Seafoam through the gas to clean your injectors too.

It's your car, is it an aveo? LOL Yeah what sparky said, year and model is helpful. Otherwise it might be crickets.

Check the air hose it might have a leak.
