I was about to say reusing plug wires you might have damaged a wired, but that is the MAP sensor, it is kind of like an o2 sensor but for the intake side. It is one of the sensors you need to run.

The gap on that spark plug looks huge?! I'm not sure if that is a optical illusion from the photo, or it the gap is open..
