I got a letter in the mail last week that my 2011 Aveo was being recalled due to a posible defect in the spark plug boots. Along with replacing the spark plug boots, they were going to replace the spark plugs as well. My car had no issues and frankly drives the same now that the repairs have been made by my "new" Chevrolet dealer, Brown Daub Chevrolet in Wind Gap, PA. My original dealer gave up their Chevy franchise and it's just as well as their service department was terrible. The "new" dealer had the car in and out in 40 minutes and gave it back as clean as they got it.
Has anybody else had this service done or having a driveability issue that could be a result of shorting spark plugs? Check on this recall with your dealer to see if your car is affected.
