      Spark Plug Socket dilemma

I have a Chevy Aveo 2006, and I am attempting to replace the spark plugs.

Going left to right I was able to replaces 1 and 4. For spark plugs 2 and 3 the spark plug socket will not fit far enough down to reach. It seems that it is hitting the walls of the housing and won't make it far enough down to the nut of the spark plug.

Is there a specialty spark plug socket I need? Some trick to this? Should I just take it in somewhere and hope for a cheap solution? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Although I've never measured the diameter of the wells, I would be (really) surprised if they were not identical. Did you find a large amount of oil on the bottom of the socket? If so, then maybe with enough oil in the wells (comes from the leaking valve cover gasket), the socket is being blocked from going down far enough. The only other thing I can think of is that some of the wires broke off, but I'm sure you would have noticed that. If the wells have lots of oil in them, sop it up with a rag pushed around on the end of a thin screwdriver.

I did not find any oil pooled in there. And none of the wiring has been damaged. I'm at a loss. I may just have to take it in somewhere.
