Speed Sensor

2007 Chevy Aveo LS 4-door Automatic.

The speedometer quit working and the transmission stays in 2nd gear when in Drive. Park, Neutral, and Reverse all work.

Would the speed sensor be the culprit? and also, can someone please post a picture of where it is located?

Have you check both sets of fuses first? Is there a CEL?

I haven't checked anything yet really, the car isn't mine but I plan to purchase the car. The current owner never mentioned a check engine light being on and we've discussed the car several times.

Great deal for a 07, I guess it has a good amount of miles on it?

here is a pic of the auto transmission #13 in the pic is the input shaft speed sensor (iss) if this is what your looking for im not sure
