Exclamation Squeaky noise in engine bay

Hi all, im new to this forum so if i leave something out, just let me know.

Right, so here is my problem:
I installed a SRI, simple. Replaced the standard rubber hose and air filter box with a s/steel one and a cone filter.

After this, things seemed to be fine.
Now, all of a sudden, there is a squeaky noice coming from the engine bay. I have wrapped the s/steel pipe with heat shield, thinking it was the pipe that was rubbing up against something, and so making the noise. Didnt help. It is at its worst when the car is idling, and when i turn off the engine, it squeaks even when the engine has stopped running. Sounds like something is letting out air, but with a high pitched squeak.

Anyone had this problem before? How did you fix it....

      Thanks

there are a few squeaks and such this could be, is it loud? are you sure its not just the short ram amplifying the sound of the engine? Did this start to occur right after the sri was installed?

Do you have AC? some of the short ram kits rub on the AC lines, if it is metal on metal rubbing, you should see wear marks in paint, or uneven shiny surfaces.

Hey Rabbit, thanks for getting back to me.
Noise was not load, noticable when idling and when turning off the engine. Pretty sure its not the SRI amplifying the engine sound. Didnt sound right. Yes, it happened after the SRI install.
I have a AC, and i checked the pipes. There is one that passes right where the SRI pipe comes off the throttle body.
I took everything off and wrapped some heat shield around the pipe. Put it all back together making sure that i possition the pipe with a bit more care and it worked.
The weird noise were the pipes rubbing, thanks man!!

Hope this helps someone else as well...
