      Stuck Lights

Ok so Today I noticed I have no brake lights. Bulbs are new.... So I went and looked at the pedal and noticed that the little black stick that presses into the electrical connector does not go up all the way when the brake pedal is not pressed. And that little box gets burning hot. Not sure what that piece is called, or how expensive it is to fix. Also is it easy to fix?

      Thanks

That's probably your 'brake light switch'. Cheap and easy to replace. You'll want to disconnect it temporarily though, it's stuck on, that's why it's getting so hot. Get a ride down to a parts store and pick up a replacement. Should be able to google a video, if you can't figure out the setup yourself.

the trick is finding it and figuring out the proper name in spanish. Because here in PR, some parts are a hassle to find.

Maybe google the international langauge of 'part #s'! At least if you can find an AC Delco part # you should be good. Which should be... 96874572

LOL Its not to much the part number, it's actually being here on the island! I took the car to Pep Boys few months ago. They messed up the oil pan screw on the bottom. Had to wait 1 week for the part to arrive. Also in the dealer they left me 2 weeks without a car because they needed to fix the recall parts and the parts were not here in PR. ( facepalm) But thanks for the number though!!!
